AWS-6 ALL-WEATHER SPEAKER THIS PRODUCT WAS DISCONTINUED APRIL 2009. THE MC-6AW OR A-5AW HAS REPLACED THIS MODEL. The cabinet of the AWS-6 outdoor speaker is constructed of impact-resistant ABS plastic and is sealed to provide resistance from the natural elements. The rounded back allows for easy placement into a corner or eave. All of the AWS-6 hardware is made from brass, aluminum or stainless steel and the binding posts are plastic to avoid rusting or corrosion. For high frequencies, a 1-inch liquid-cooled, mylar dome tweeter is used for its sound quality and to allow greater power handling. For mid-range and bass reproduction, a 6½-inch poly graphite woofer is used. The mounting bracket allows the AWS-6 to be mounted either horizontally or vertically, and the speaker swivels for optimum sound control and placement. |
