Upping the performance, the 12SC has a larger gauge, resulting in less resistance and lower loss. Utilizing Rhodium plated banana plugs and OFC copper conductors the 12SC ensures a fantastic signal transfer with a warm and natural timbre. Each conductor path boasts 4x 18awg wires braided together. The angle of cross sections between the positive and negative leads is approximately 60 degrees.
The science of braided wire is in the geometry. Braided wire provides a filtration effect to reduce incoming noise and reduce the antennae properties of a cable. The results are a cleaner signal transfer with reduced smearing and reduced noise translating into a wider/deeper soundstage with more precise imaging characteristics. A perfect braid would be the positive and negative leads crossing at 90 degrees.
